When my mom passed at just 67 to dementia, it changed the course of my personal and professional life.
I made the decision that that wasn't how I'd go.
Her diagnosis and journey opened my eyes to how little we know about our bodies. I learned so much from her functional medicine doctor, it was like stepping into a whole new works and language about health.
Her experience gave me a new perspective on aging and health-- not something to dread but as something you can take control of.
Over the past few years, I've thrown myself into education around the body and how it functions, including hormone and brain health, discovering there were so many new ways to prevent chronic health issues or detect them earlier.
